Welcome to Happy Home!
My name is Aly Eardley and I live here in Eliot with my two wonderful boys (currently 12 & 14) and my amazing husband who fully supports me in this dream in a multitude of ways.  When I’m not at the shop I can be found out hunting for treasures at estate sales and vintage markets and driving my boys to endless baseball and soccer practices and games! Go Marshwood!   🎉

My journey towards opening Happy Home started when I was just a little girl.  I grew up in a house full of gorgeous old antiques and my mom was an antique dealer.  She was very entrepreneurial and also owned a candy and ice cream shop in Brentwood, NH where I worked every summer.  Even though I was just scooping ice cream, I was actually soaking up the ins and outs of running a business and serving customers.

Fast forward to almost 12 years ago, when I first got the itch to sell antiques myself and rented a little booth in an antique store with a friend.  I loved using antiques in decorating my house and had a passion for anything time-worn and chippy! I was a stay at home mom to two sweet little boys and this was a great part-time gig and an outlet for my creativity.  With this small booth, my dream of opening my own shop began!

From there, I slowly grew my business and my design style, doing various vintage markets and being in various shops along the way.  I loved mixing old with new in decorating and discovered I had a knack for staging and making objects look beautiful in a home.  Being a mom was still my primary focus but I was able to grow my business in unique ways.  Many of you will remember how I held various shop events out of my garage for several years while honing my style and growing my followers.  At the same time I expanded the size of my spaces in other people shops into almost little shops of my own.

By 2022 both of my kids were in middle school and I was ready to make the big leap into owning my own store!  With this, Happy Home was born! I chose the name because it represented not only what I was building at home with my husband and children but what I wanted my shop to be - a warm, welcoming place where you can come and feel happy and bring something back to beautify your own happy home.
